I know, this shot is very similar to this one
but I felt I had to post it anyway, to spread some love...
It's not the same woods, it's actually the opposite side of the country.

2009,  Camera: Canon EOS 5D,  Location: Stockholm,

50 mm | f 2 | 1/320 sec | ISO 400

  • Beautiful colors!

p.s. I got the player from my page from another page by checking out the source code. I'm a web developer so it was pretty straight-forward but it could be a bit difficult if you've never coded before.

  • I come back on this one because I need some advices.
I'm going to spend few days in the middle of a forest and I would like to know how to process my pictures to get the dramatic mood of yours.

Don't misunderstand me, I don't want to copycat your style but I really love the feelings I have when I look at this serie.
    Thank you.

Ok, I'll try to give you some angles of approach that I keep in mind when it comes to these kind of motives.
First, a forest scenery usually are very messy, so try to find those "clean" spaces and single out your motive.
Then look carefully in the viewfinder - what's happening in the background? you dont want anything to interfere with the main subject, DOF (Depth Of Field) can be very useful.
Then, mind the light, but considering your work at your blog you know this ;)
And I also want to remind of the postprossesing where dodge and burn can be useful.

Good luck, and I'm looking forward to see the photos from your trip!
don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions, I'm flattered and happy to help!
